Happy Halloween!

Just Eva

Now that Emmy is in school I am enjoying spending time alone with just my baby girl Eva.  She definitely loves her alone time with Mommy and having all the toys in the house to herself...or in this case taking a nice walk to the park and not having to compete with her sister for mom's attention.

She had to hit this sign on the way by...just like her big sister.  :)

Family Day at City Hall

Earlier in the month of October it was Week of the Child and the city put on a Family Day at the city hall which proved to be a very fun time for the girls.  They had a lot of craft tables setup which Emmy loved of course and Eva really enjoyed the playroom with the parachute and the playdoh.

One of the science stations that were setup.  Those round things they are holding are huge magnets so the lady using it to turn the kids around on the platform that Emmy is standing on.  I thought that was pretty cool.

A bike pump + a water bottle =

an air-bourne water bottle.

Fall Walks

I have been trying to the girls outside for walks and such as much as possible lately because we all know before long it will be just a little too chilly outside for things like this...

Eva and her big girl bed

After coming home from our visit to Manitoba I wondered if it was time to move Eva to a big girl bed since she had not been sleeping in crib for about a month.  And also was not sleeping in the playpen either towards the end of our trip since she had figured out how to climb out of it.  But she adjusted quite fine to being back in her own bed.  However, after returning from our Ontario holidays where she once again did not sleep in a crib or playpen at all, we decided that she was definitely ready for a big girl bed.  Here are some pics from the her first night in it.

Getting all snuggled in.

Eva going to bed with her favourite girl Dora - on her PJs and on her blanket.
Thanks Auntie Tracy for the new blanket!

Mommy reading Eva some bedtime stories.  She gets 2 books, just like Emmy.

It took about 2 hours from the time that I first got her into bed until she actual was sleeping since she found it so convenient that she could just get out of bed and walk out the door all by herself.

Holidays Part 3 - Ottawa

The girls visiting with their cousin Meaghan.

Getting a picture in front of Granny Turnbulls book shelf just like their dad used to do.

Eva with a photo of Granny Turnbull that she just happened to take off the shelf.  Love this one.  :)

The girls happy to see Braden when we got back to the hotel.

Jackson and Eva getting serious about puzzle making...lol.

Emmy trying to sneak up on Braden.  :)

Walking the little bridges over the Rideau Canal.

I love, love, love this one!  Eva loves her B!

Hanging out in front of the parliment with the Todds.  Braden is trying to hide from the camera so....

I grabbed him for a photo opt!

Checking out the Children's Museum in Gatineau, Quebec - just across the river!

Me and Kelly's awesome shoes!

Emmy gettin serious about sewing!

It was a fun ride but it was not long enough!
